Charlotte Borghmans and Humberto Nóbrega founded their studio to bridge architecture and interior design in one fluid approach. The flow of a space, the way light moves through it, the proportions, the palette, the furniture - they’re all considered from the first sketch. This leads to projects that feel grounded, serene, and enduring. Spaces where architecture and interiors are not separate layers, but a single, living whole.
Working on residential, commercial and corporate projects, Nóbrega Borghmans grew organically into a small, close-knit team. An anchor in the often chaotic world of construction, we are deeply involved in each project from concept to delivery, whether it’s new-build or renovation. Our clients value our steady presence and genuine approach - they often return with new challenges, drawn to the clarity, consistency, and personal connection they experience throughout.
With professional backgrounds in renowned firms and shaped by time in Italy, Switzerland, Portugal, Belgium, and the United States, we understand how different regions think, build, and live. Together, we speak six languages, and regularly collaborate with teams in multiple countries. This cultural fluency allows us to navigate the complexities of international projects with ease and to add a dash of couleur locale to every project .
Our aesthetic is refined but unforced - warm colors, natural and honest materials, an economy of means, and a quiet sense of proportion. We believe in architecture that doesn’t seek to impress, but to endure. Tailor-made, timeless, and deeply human.
